DONA International defines a birth doula as “a trained professional who provides continuous physical, emotional, and informational support to a mother before, during, and shortly after childbirth to help her achieve the healthiest, most satisfying experience possible.” A postpartum doula helps families navigate the immediate postpartum period.
As a DONA-certified birth doula, I serve and empower mothers and their birth partners with kind encouragement, powerful education, and dependable communication. By becoming a part of her birth team, I’ll help her find her own voice and achieve the birth she and her birth partner desire. I will meet with her and her birth partner twice before her labor and delivery, continuously serve her and her birth partner during her childbirth, and visit with her once at her home after her baby is born.
As a postpartum doula, I care for you and your newborn in your home. I offer non-judgmental understanding and focused support in all areas of postpartum need: baby feeding, newborn care, diapering, newborn and mama sleep, meals, household tasks, sibling adjustment, laundry, etc.
As a northeast metro Atlanta doula, my service area radius is approximately 30 miles from Lilburn and includes all Midtown hospitals, ABC, Wellstar North Fulton, Northside Atlanta, Northside Forsyth, Northside Gwinnett, and Piedmont Eastside. If you live outside that service area, I am happy to recommend other doulas closer to you!
